   Now showing:

"Nature's Canvas" At the Albert Wisner Library, One Mc Farland Drive, Warwick, NY April 17th through June 30th 2023

   Past showings:

The Warwick Art League's Members Annual art exhibition titled, "New Horizons", is scheduled for the month of April in the Community Room at the Albert Wisner Public Library. My submission is a 24 by 36 inch acrylic titled "Pigs in the Mist". The library is located at 1 McFarland Dr, Warwick, NY 10990, phone number is 845-986-1047.

Another acrylic of mine, "A Landscape Free from Slaughterhouses", also 24 by 36 inches, is my offering "Landscapes, Real and Imagined". This community art show runs April 20 through June 30, 2022, also at the library.

Also, at the local library's outdoor StoryWalk, is an imaging exhibit (art based on a piece of poetry) "Speak to Me - a Visual Interpretation of Poetry" running from April through June, 2022. Nineteen area artists' favorite poems and artwork are displayed in outdoor StoryWalk frames.

Ringwood Manor is also partnering with the RMAA to bring members exclusive opportunity to sketch inside the historic Manor House. Artist's will have up to two hours of uninterrupted access to be inspired by the various rooms, artwork and decor. This is very exciting for me! Up until just recently, visitors to the Manor House have not even been permitted to take photos inside.

I've been designing and painting birdhouses for the many species. Here are two of the several I've done so far.

Two paintings, side by side. Both are acrylic on canvas, approximately 20 X 24 inches.

The one on the left was done fifty years ago (notice the date in the lower right corner, along with my maiden name). This was during the Viet Nam war and the protests, the release of the Beatles' Magical Mystery Tour and Lyndon B. Johnson. Average cost of a new house was $14,250.00. Gas per gallon was .33 cents.

The one on the right was done in 2017. Donald Trump is President.
